Loot and blueprints

More generous loot, and blueprints that are always new and shared with your team.

More generous loot

Crates, barrels and NPC corpses use the server’s own loot tables: more generous than vanilla, with no junk.

The main containers

ContainerWhat you mostly find
Barrel (roads, Radtown)components: Rope, Metal Blade, Tarp, Sewing Kit, Gears, Metal Pipe, Metal Spring, Road Signs, Sheet Metal, Semi Automatic Body, Electric Fuse
Red oil barrelcrude oil and low grade fuel
Wooden cratecomponents, Hazmat Suits, Targeting Computers, grenades, Satchel Charges
Military crateweapon bodies, Tech Trash, HQ metal, Night Vision Goggles, Drones, grenades, attachments, weapons (from the Pump Shotgun to the Rocket Launcher)
Elite cratehigh-end weapons, C4 and explosives, armor plates, armored doors, HQ metal, auto turrets
Tool crateJackhammer, or ammo
Medical crateBandages, a Large Medkit or Medical Syringes
Airdrop700 to 800 scrap, HQ metal 160 to 200, components, armor, weapons, ammo, tools, explosives, siege weapons… (details)
Hackable crate (Chinook, oil rigs, ghost ship)plenty of scrap, HQ metal, Tech Trash, ammo, high-end weapons, C4, auto turrets, armor… + advanced blueprint fragments

A military crate can also hold a Large Backpack and a basic blueprint fragment. An elite crate can also hold an advanced blueprint fragment.

Where to find a supply signal

Supply signals are rare: you mostly find them in high-tier crates and hackable crates. Raid bases don’t drop any. VIP and the store give them too.

What an airdrop contains

Every airdrop, whether it comes from a supply signal found in game, from a server airdrop or from the store, is filled the same way:

  • 21 items drawn at random from the 62 on its list. Each draw first picks a rarity, then an item of that rarity: common items come up more often. Most items can come up several times, except the ballistic armour pieces.
  • The amounts in the table are already multiplied by 5, up to the stack size. Weapons come one at a time.
  • Sometimes one of the items comes as a blueprint (one at most).

The first column is the chance of getting at least one of the item in an airdrop, the second the chance on each of the 21 draws.

On average an airdrop holds about 270 scrap and 33 HQ metal, but scrap only shows up in about one airdrop in three. These odds come from the server’s loot tables: they change if the tables change.

NPC corpses

Scientists carry much more than in vanilla, heavies even more.

NPCKey points
Scientists (patrols, Cargo Ship, oil rigs, Giant Excavator Pit, escorts…)components, HQ metal, Tech Trash, gear, grenades, weapons, ammo, healing items
Heavy scientistson top of that: heavy weapons, C4, explosives, Minigun, Multiple Grenade Launcher
Tunnel dwellerscomponents, ammo, Satchel Charges

You can’t take the clothes of monument NPCs: only their loot counts.

Blueprints

Always a blueprint you don’t know

Any blueprint found in a crate, on a corpse, in a broken barrel or picked up off the ground becomes a blueprint that neither you nor your team know yet.

If your team already knows everything that was possible, the blueprint disappears: no more useless blueprints. Blueprints dropped by a player are not changed.

Shared with your team

When you learn a blueprint (by studying it or in the tech tree), every member of your team learns it too, even offline. When you join a team, you get its blueprints and it gets yours. If you leave the team or get kicked from it, you lose the blueprints it gave you; the ones you learned yourself stay yours. Everything resets at the wipe.

Fragments

As in vanilla, a level 2 workbench needs 5 basic blueprint fragments and a level 3 one needs 5 advanced fragments. You find them in military, elite and hackable crates.

Who gets the loot

The loot of an NPC, a hackable crate, an airdrop, an event or a big monument is reserved for the group that earned it. All the rules are in PvE rules.
